It has a well built 383 Stroker motor with aluminum heads and MSD ignition. The car was redone about 5-7 years ago. Paint does have some chips, But no rust. Interior is mostly stock with aftermarket radio and tachometer. Has dual exhaust and great tires. This is the last year for this body style. 42,505 MILES ON THE ODOMETER. I have had this Z-28 Camaro sitting in my heated garage for a while. There have been 2 previous adult owners before me, both kept it in a garage. This is a running driving, turn key car. It is mostly original, the only paint work I can see on the car is the front left fender and it was repainted years ago. The car has a clean Auto check report with no accidents and with a possible score of 13-37 it scores a 37.
This car is very rust free. The bottom (underneath) of the car looks great. Solid floors. Solid trunk, with factory mat and space saver spare. Solid pan under rear bumper.
Solid frame rails. No cracks on dash. No warps or dryness in the urethane bumpers. All the spoilers intact and in good condition. No air shocks, the springs are perfect and the stance is correct. The engine runs great, the trans shifts as it should.
The brakes work great. The cowl induction hood flap works as it should. The car is all there, the interior is all original. Still has A/C intact, the belt is off because it needs to be changed over to new style freon. It has a Factory Posi rear.
The car basically just needs some dings, small dents (light body work), and scratch's sanded out and a new paint job, big plus, it has never been repainted, THAT IS RARE, so what you see is what you get. The car is mostly stock, and is FULLY loaded, power everything, cruise, tilt, non leaking t-tops, upgraded aluminum wheels, deluxe interior and every thing that comes with a Z-28. All the dome lights, fasten seat belt lights, blinkers, cruise all that stuff works. The doors close nice and tight and don't sag. You can wash this car, aim the hose at the t-tops or leave it outside in the rain, and it DOES NOT leak. Very tasteful modifications that anyone would want on one of these cars.
The only way to get a 350 4bbl in 81 was to get a automatic, the sticks came with a 305. The engine was stock with like 170HP (lame) this engine was rebuilt with a Hotter cam and other performance internals, MUCh more HP. But look at it, it looks stock. And is very reliable, not wild. The car has Headers and real THREE INCH!
Dual exhaust and even has dual cats to keep it legal. The trans has a shift kit, so it nails all the shifts with solid precision. The car has super solid frame rails with sub frame race connectors welded in, and it was done very professionally. The car has surface rust on the lower out side of the drivers door, needs to be sanded or blasted.
Some light dings and scratch's. There was a rust spot behind drivers side rear wheel, the rust was cut out and a new piece of metal welded in, it is left raw so you can see its not bad, a little filler over it is all it needs to be finished, just wanted for a buyer to see what they are getting. Some Gauges work intermittently, Bad connection at the fuse link or something.
The radio was cut out for a newer style din type Cd stereo. The interior is original and old and showing some wear. The rear package tray (shelf) is sun faded, a brand new one with sound insulation comes with the car. Thats it, who describes a car this completely, I Do!

It is really hard to find these in original condition like this one. My plan was to paint the car Viper Yellow with silver Z-28 Stripes, I even bought the paint already.

The air conditioning works but needs a charge, it has been converted to the modern standard. All parts are original except for the power steering pump, but the original pump will be included with purchase. This is a trophy winning car from Las Vegas Nevada. There is no body rust. Up for sale is a 1981 Z28 Camaro, factory Z28, tilt wheel steering, power locks, power windows, T-tops, factory a/c but a/c was removed and a/c delete box was installed to clean up engine bay. Factory Z28 wheels with decent life left on the tires.
The car has been repainted several years ago but the paint is showing its age, looks great from 20ft but up close there are imperfections which are included in the pictures. There is one minor dent on the passenger side door that is visible in one of the pictures. Inner fenders have been replaced and there are two small rust holes on the rocker panel area, one each side of the car as pictured. Frame is solid and rust free, floor pans are solid with no holes or rust, including the truck pan.
The car has been garage kept and well maintained for the 7 years that I have owned it, and never driven in the snow or on salty roads. The wipers, lights, horn, defog, heat, power locks and windows all work.
The power locks and windows are a bit sluggish however and have been that way since I have owned the car. The T-tops do leak some water as the weather stripping is dry and cracked, but I don't drive the car in the rain so I never bothered to replace it. The interior is in decent shape, with all gauges working and no tears in the seats.
Some scratches near the rear seats. All in all, good reliable car that needs nothing to be a great driver, but don't expect a show winner. I don't hesitate to take it on long trips and daily drive it in the summer spring and fall. Love the car, but need something I can drive in the winter.
