I used to believe that Crystal Reports is the best report building platform available and it used to hold true until Crystal Reports was taken over by Business Objects and started tinkering around to fit it's enterprise reporting platform. Hello, We are wrking on a migration activity of a x86 (i.e. Target platform 32 bit) MFC VC code wirtten in Visual Studio 6.0 which uses ActiveX Controls and Segate Crystal Report 6.0 to x64 (i.e. Targate platform 64 bit ) MFC VC code using Visual Studio 2015 and using SAP Crystal Reports 13.0. Issues we are facing.

ActiveX controls used earlier is not supported in VS 2015, and we don't see any substuate. We are looking for compatable x64 (i.e. 64 bit ) ActiveX Controls. We see Crystal Report control in the toolbox pannel, but when we pull the control to the Dialog Box when the application is configured to x64 build target, VS 2015 crashes. Earlier crpe32.dll, crypt32.dll, crpe32m.lib and crystl32.ocx were used to perform view and print Crystal Reports. Since we are suppose to use 'SAP Crystal Reports 13.0' we dont have supportable unmanaged libraries, we have managed GAC assembles of SAP Crystal Reports 13.0 which can't plugged into C code directly. Please provide some guidence for ActiveX and Crystal Report problems we are facing.

Here is a document about mfc ActiveX Controls, you could refer to. According to this, support Packs for “SAP Crystal Reports, developer version for Microsoft Visual Studio” (SAP Crystal Reports for Visual Studio) are scheduled on a quarterly bases and support the following versions of Visual Studio:. VS 2015 RC – SP14. VS 2015 – SP 15 and higher If you want to use Crystal Reports, but want some way of using the Crystal Report version that comes with.NET, I think you'll have to use Windows Forms. Here is a document about Using a Windows Form User Control in MFC.
